Superior Quality Assurance
We operate a state-of-the-art, climate-controlled Quality Assurance Lab where we conduct rigorous product testing, verification, capability studies, and first article inspections. The lab is equipped with a Zeiss Contura G2 CMM (700mm x 1000mm x 600mm) with a Vast XT full scanning probe head along with a variety of different inspection gauges, equipment, and tools used to verify our wide range of manufacturing processes.
We track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across all of our operations giving us the data needed to improve our processes. We also employ the industry’s standard of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) required to verify manufacturing capability and product performance, as well as PFMEA standards and SPC tracking charts. In all corrective actions, we follow the PDCA (Plan Do Check Act) management method for quality assurance and internally track PPM (Parts Per Million) for scrap to minimize waste. We achieve customer satisfaction by continually improving processes, products, and services to ensure they consistently meet or exceed requirements.

Central to our lean manufacturing philosophy is our promise to utilize processes and activities that add value to our customers and reduce waste in both process and product. Our organizational standard is based on the 5S workplace model of Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain. To reinforce this mindset, we train all of our employees on the basic principles of Lean Manufacturing & 5S. These programs enable us to organize our workspace for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
C & S Machine and Manufacturing also uses the proven Kaizen system of continual improvement requiring our entire workforce to be devoted to quality. It gives all of our employees a chance to take ownership of the company and collaborate on ways to improve. Our primary goal is to eliminate all forms of waste – including the waste that we cannot see. Our lean manufacturing initiatives include reducing cycle times, increasing floor space, increasing safety ratings, maximizing labor, and improving equipment reliability.
